Print Actual Size Templates To Test Fit The HD and Slim HD Chute Blocker On Your Mower

We are an authorized dealer for The Green Guard and sell the HD and Slim HD models.  The HD models are 'heavy duty' commercial-grade chute blockers made for daily use.

The Slim HD model has a smaller foot print and greater clearance between the mower deck and the components of the chute blocker.

Chute Blocker For Exmark Mowers

Both the HD and Slim HD models fit most Exmark mowers.  We recommend you print the actual size PDFs and cut them out to place on your mower to determine which would be the best fit.

On Exmark Staris Standers, The Green Guard will mount in front of the hand-hold loop that you use to raise and lower the deck.   However, because the magnets are larger and stick out past the base, our magnetic 'no-drill' kit will not fit on the Staris, unless you cut off the loop and grind the deck flat.

On the larger S-Series and Vantage Standers, our magnetic mount 'no-drill' kit will fit.

On all the Exmark commercial zero-turns we've tested so far our units will fit with magnetic mount.

One issue with most Exmark mowers is that the spindle cover is removed by pulling it outward.  On 52" and smaller decks, a bolted on green guard can interfere with the removal of the spindle cover.  For this reason, you may want to purchase our magnetic mount 'no-drill' kit option with Exmark installations.  That way you can remove The Green Guard when you need to do maintenance on the belt or spindle more quickly and easily.  Another option is to notch out a little of the plastic spindle cover where it lines up with the vertical upright on The Green Guard (See pics below for reference).

On some residential-grade Exmark mowers on opening on the top of the deck will need to be blocked off to keep grass clippings from escaping out of this hole.

Chute Blocker For Ferris Mowers

Use the Slim HD Chute Blocker on Ferris mowers.  The magnetic 'no-drill' kit works well on the Ferris.

On all the Ferris's we have seen, there is a 2" tall rib that runs across the deck:  4.5" - 5" from the edge.  As seen in the above photo, the rib on the Ferris deck will sit between the Green Guard base and motor.  You will just have to raise the base 1/2" using the included spacers.

Chute Blocker For Toro Mowers

On the Toro Grandstand and Multiforce Standers there are little tabs that come off the OEM Deflector supports.  There is not room to mount our base in between these tabs.  You will either have to raise the unit up above the tabs roughly 1.5".  We include spacers in all kits.  Or, you can mount it behind the tabs and use spacers to extend the swing arm out to the deck edge.

Toro zero-turns and walk-behinds don't have those tabs coming off at a right angle, so our base will fit into between the OEM Deflector supports.
