Below is a reference chart for how much gas to mix with the 2-cycle oil.  Many of the bottle sizes we sell allow you to use the entire bottle to create the ideal ratio mix for the most common gas can sizes.

Newer engines most often use a 50:1 gas-to-oil mix ratio:

  • 2.6 oz 2-cycle oil for 1 gallon of gas/oil mix
  • 6.4 oz 2-cycle oil for 2.5 gallons of gas/oil mix
  • 12.8 oz 2-cycle oil for 5 gallons of gas/oil mix

Older engines may use a 40:1 gas-to-oil mix ratio:

  • 3.2 oz 2-cycle oil for 1 gallon of gas/oil mix
  • 6.4 oz 2-cycle oil for 2 gallons of gas/oil mix
  • 8 oz 2-cycle oil for 2.5 gallons of gas/oil mix
  • 16 oz 2-cycle oil for 5 gallons of gas/oil mix
